2nd Annual Central Valley Down Syndrome Summit

Kern Down Syndrome Network is hosting its second annual Central Valley Down Syndrome Summit on June 1, 2019 at New Life Church’s Southwest campus, on the corner of White and Stine in Bakersfield, California.

The summit will bring together Down syndrome experts from around the country on advocacy, health, education, transition to adulthood, accessing services, and more. For more information, contact Kern DSN at info@kerndsn.org.

Registration is $74.50, or Regional Center clients can contact their service coordinator for help accessing funding.

Participants can attend any of the sessions offered throughout the day. Vendors will be on hand to share information about their services, and interpreters will offer simultaneous interpretation in Spanish in all sessions where attendees need them. If you need sign language interpretation, please send an email to kelly@kerndsn.org so we can make arrangements.

Registration opens at 8:00 am and our last session ends at 3:30 pm.

Are you a teen or young adult with Down syndrome between the ages of 15-29 who would like to spend the day connecting with new friends? Kern Down Syndrome Network invites you to participate in our first Kern DSN Teen and Young Adult Retreat. All activities will take place at the New Life Church. We are still in the planning stages, and we’d love your assistance to make sure the activities are fun and useful for all. 11:45-1pm: Keynote Speaker – Rachel Mast, “I love my life” and Lunch time

1:00-3:30 pm: Activity #2

4:00 pm: Say goodbye
